Learn To Surf With Us

There are a variety of courses to choose from, starting at a leisurely taster session up to a week long intensive program. These are flexible to allow for weather conditions and your requirements. It does take a few sessions to get the feel for surfing and to master standing up but this is within reach of practically everyone. I will be in the water with the group to offer you advice, coaching and encouragement.

You will be using the best equipment available with 'soft' Bullet & Surftech beginner boards, NSP mini-mals, custom short boards and warm Snugg and Alder wetsuits (you will not be cold in these!)

As well as surf lessons, we hire equipment on a half-day up to a weekly basis.
You can hire surfboards, bodyboards, skimboards and wetsuits, as well as snorkels and masks for taking advantage of Tiree’s clear waters and amazing coastline on those rare waveless days.

We can arrange Multi-Activity Weeks & Corporate Activity Weeks including windsurfing & kitesurfing. Please contact us for more information.

If you want to continue surfing and buy equipment we have trade accounts with many of the largest surf brands, such as Snugg, Alder, Tiki, and O’Neill for ‘off the shelf’ or ‘custom fit’ wetsuits. Surftech epoxy boards are considered among the lightest and toughest boards on the market and cater for all abilities and sizes. We also stock NSP epoxy boards, Hot Buttered custom boards and Bullet novice boards. A mail order service is available at no extra cost so feel free to contact me for a quote.

There's also a surfboard and windsurf board repair service on offer for those of you with your own equipment.

The school is usually based at Balevullin beach from the hours of 12 to 6 daily in the school holidays and by arrangement out with these dates. However the surf school is mobile to take advantage of the best surf break available according to the conditions. To find where the school will be running contact me (077930 63849) on the day or ask at the windsurfing school at the loch. Please note there is a poor phone signal at some of the beaches (peace & quiet!) so if you wish to ensure availability of lessons or hire its recommended that you contact me before 10am or after 6pm. It is also very useful if you can give me a phone number to contact you when you are on Tiree. Only Vodafone, O2 and 3 mobile networks cover Tiree.
